Improvements to Management Information
This applies to all trainline for business accounts who have either signed for an account since August 2016 or had their account recently upgraded to a new dashboard.
Do you know what your rail spend was last month for each department, or team member? Setting up Management Information (MI) questions helps you better understand your spend when you download your monthly report.
Over the last few months, we analysed best practices used by our customers, and improved the MI questions feature and monthly reports, to give you better visibility into your company rail travel.
What's changed:
After analysing customer data needs across all our customer accounts, we simplified the setup process and increased the data points we automatically capture for your reports.
The monthly report captures all key journey information including: traveller names, booker name and journey information (such as dates of travel and booking, cost, departure and arrival information and more).
The number of questions available are reduced to 4.
- There are two mandatory questions for new employee registrations (Job Title & Department)
- And two journey related questions: (1) Your billing codes (aka billable departments, client code, etc) can be set up as 'Cost Centre', and (2) Notes section for your company specific record keeping.
You can now set up smart travel policies to save money with more in-depth information and with minimal effort.
