We are now offering payment with iDEAL on some transactions.
If you choose this payment method, you’ll be taken to your chosen bank's website and you can then proceed to authenticate your payment. When you return to Trainline you’ll see a message saying that we will email you your tickets or you can check your bookings in the account section of our website or mobile app. This is because iDEAL payments can take a few minutes to be processed by your bank. As soon as they notify us that the payment has gone through, we process your order.
If there is a problem with your payment or your order, we will notify you via email and no money will be taken. This can sometimes happen if the payment takes a long time to process and the ticket has expired before we have had the chance to confirm it, although the instances of this happening should be rare.
