Train ticket availability during COVID
You may have noticed trains that you easily found and booked in the past are now showing as either tickets unavailable or timetables unconfirmed.
Train companies have previously offered Flexible tickets (such as Off Peak and Anytime) up to 6 months prior to travel and the generally cheaper, Advance Single tickets around 12-24 weeks prior to travel.
As a result of the ongoing COVID pandemic, travel restrictions that are in place and the need for social distancing, train operators are typically releasing tickets much closer to the day of departure. If tickets for your journey are not yet available, please check again nearer to the day of travel.
To see up to what date each train operator is releasing Advance Single tickets, visit ticket alert. You can sign up to be notified as soon as a particular journey has Advance tickets available.
